Running the Roads-Amending July 24-25

Wall of fossils-note the palm fronds
The "rock" hill on the left was underwater a very long time ago

That is millions of years ago
Another phase of Appalacian formation-150 million years earlier
Bear Lake from halfway up the mt.
Can you see the wakes of the powerboats?
I manipulated the photos from the 24th and since I have a GREAT signal tonight, I will post these photos.  The first couple are from the Fossil Butte NMon. and the last bunch were from Bear Lake that our travels took us past before the road climbed Bear Mountain.  We lunched atop the mountain at the rest stop.  See if you can find the power boats on the lake.  At Fossil Butte, the pix above the entrance sign shows a mountain in the background.  That was once underwater and is a source of fossils.  Notice something new?  I learned how to caption a pix.  Next step, figuring out how to stagger them for visual interest and how to get them to load in order.
